Service Description

Microsuction is the gold standard for ear wax removal and replaces the irrigation methods that GP surgeries used to offer. Your appointment will take 30 minutes, I will start by asking a few questions to get an understanding of the health of your ears and using an otoscope ( a magnifier with light) I will examine your ear canals and ear drums. I will ask you to sign a consent form before we proceed to wax removal. Using a magnifier and fine suction tube I will gently remove the wax. This information can be recorded and forwarded to your GP or a specialist if necessary. I charge £55 for ear wax removal which takes about 20 minutes and is painless and safe. I charge £65 for a home visit. I offer a free hearing test following this which takes 5 minutes. I take before and after photos and am set up with a company of ear specialists for any advice if needed. I offer a free quick 2 minute ear examination which can determine whether there is wax which needs removing and an appointment can then be made to do this. I also offer an ear examination with hearing test for £25. I have many years of NHS and private experience with qualifications in healthcare. I live in the beautiful Yorkshire wolds with my husband and 2 dogs and enjoy the outdoors walking and running. I have 3 grown up children and enjoy spending time with them when they visit.
